Some of you might have noticed that over the past couple of months, I’ve been posting recipes and photos all linking out to a blog called Her Modern Kitchen. If you haven’t guessed it by now, Her Modern Kitchen is my personal foodie & lifestyle blog.
I’ve always loved the idea of sharing food with people, how food brings people together and how food creates stories. I also love health & fitness and believe home cooked meals are a part of a healthy diet and balanced life which is why I ensure homemade food is a part of my everyday life.
Everyone who knows me, knows I love to cook, bake and entertain. Often times when I cook or bake, I’m usually asked for the recipe or questioned on how I balance all my time in the kitchen with the rest of my life. With this blog, I hope to share my recipes and share how I live a balanced life — juggling work, food, fitness and friends here in Austin, Texas.
Based on my own belief that delicious food, good health, and strong relationships make for a happy life, my blog recipes are my own take on those that I’ve made healthier, quicker or simplified to keep you body and life in-check, so you can relax, eat well and spend more time with friends, family and doing the things you love.
To keep things fresh, I also plan to include posts that highlight my favorite restaurants here in Austin, my favorite new foodie, kitchen, or life finds and share snip-its of my favorite wine and cocktails, meal plans or quick entertaining ideas that you can hopefully transition to your own life.
Throughout everything, I welcome your feedback and would love to know if you try any of my recipes, have recipes of your own you’d like to share with me, or simply want to stop by the site and say Hi!
